Schools Going Solar

Turpin & Rattan Engineering, Inc. was proud to be part of this innovative sustainable design project for the Lemon Grove School District. The project consisted of approximately 18,000 Square Feet of photovoltaic cell installation totaling approximately 500kW of power generation for San Miguel Elementary School in Lemon Grove, California.

Design Includes:

• Electrical:
  Integration of Photovoltaic (Solar) Cells, Electrical Connection for Photovoltaic Units, Utility Coordination for Integration with San Diego Gas & Electric Electrical Grid; Power Distribution, Inverter, and Controller Systems

The project was designed to save the district money while simultaneously contributing to student's learning and awareness of sustainable design and green energy.
