San Elijo Lagoon Visitor Center

This project consists of a two-story, state-of-the-art visitor center constructed in the San Elijo Lagoon, one of San Diego's largest costal wetlands. The visitor center is an interactive facility featuring displays and exhibits showcasing the history and biology of the lagoon and includes multi-purpose rooms for classes and community meetings.

A LEED^® Platinum building, the design includes a photovoltaic power system, day-lighting controls, and other strategies designed to maximize sustainability.
